WPS Office is considered the best Microsoft Office alternative. Its also one of the most popular office suits and it’s available on Windows desktop platform, Linux but also iOS and Android. Fully compatible with Microsoft Office, WPS Office comes with Writer, Presentation, Spreadsheets and now with a built-in PDF reader. Allowing you to open, edit and create almost any Office document type.
This article was updated on 28th July and supports latest version 10.1.0.5656

Getting started: Files required

For this tutorial you will need to download a patcher to activate WPS. I am also providing you the setup for WPS Business (trial). If you already have it, you can skip it.

Setup

You can download the 30-day trial setup of WPS Business from the official webpage. Or you can use this direct link

Patcher

Download the patcher by hitting the button below. Make sure you download a RAR file with an executable file named aswps.office.10.business-patch.exe

Installing

The installation process is fairly easy, however there are some necessary options to make in order to ensure this tutorial will work. I will just highlight the options and settings to choose.

To start the installation process, all you have to do is run the setup file you downloaded on previous section.
The first dialog will look something like below. Please, pay attention to the directory where WPS will install. You will need it later.
On the next step, make sure you click on Personal Edition (free). This enables the trial mode and offers 30 days.
Let the installation conclude. You can give a try to the program. Notice you have exactly 30 days of free usage.

Patching

On the installation section, I told you to keep in mind where WPS was installing. Now, this is why you need it. You MUST move the patcher (executable file) to that directory, just as shown below.
I recommend you to disable your antivirus to not interrupt the process.
Run the patch file. Hit the button Patch and enter your name (or random text) when asked. That’s it. You should have full version now.
